Launched in 2011 and composed by Chris Maurice, Lira sits in Xerjoff's Casamorati collection, which revives an Italian perfumery founded in Bologna in 1888. It opens bright with blood orange, bergamot and lavender, warms through cinnamon, jasmine and rose with a touch of liquorice, then settles into plush caramel, vanilla and musk. Reviewers describe a citrus caramel gourmand, and one compares it to lemon cake. The sweetness is the point, but the citrus keeps it elegant rather than syrupy.
